State Aid Programs
Eligible AIU students may participate in the following Georgia State Aid Programs:
Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant (GTEG)
The GTEG program provides non-repayment grants to eligible full-time Georgia residents who are attending AIU. To receive the GTEG you must meet all eligibility requirements and must be a legal resident of Georgia for a minimum of twelve consecutive months immediately preceding the date of registration for the school term for which this grant is being sought. After enrolling, you may contact the Financial Aid department for the GTEG eligibility requirements.
University grants or scholarships are based on established criteria as published in the University's catalog and are awarded after verification that the conditions of eligibility have been met.
HOPE Scholarship (State of Georgia)
The HOPE Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance for Georgia students attending AIU. Students must meet the Georgia residency requirements and be a 1996 or later graduate of an eligible Georgia high school with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA while attending AIU to remain eligible. After enrolling, you may contact the Financial Aid department for the HOPE Scholarship eligibility requirements.

Georgia Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership (Georgia LEAP)
Georgia's Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership (LEAP) Grant is a need-based grant offered to provide residents of Georgia who demonstrate substantial financial need with grant assistance toward the cost of attendance at eligible public and private colleges/universities and technical colleges in Georgia. After enrolling, you may contact the Financial Aid department for the LEAP grant eligibility requirements.

Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
